Court Documents Reveal Cassie No Longer Lives In The US
Cassie has reportedly started a new chapter far from the spotlight of the United States.
According to newly filed court documents obtained by TMZ, the singer says she now lives outside the country and has no plans to return permanently. In a declaration dated May 1, 2026, Cassie stated that she resides abroad and does not intend to move back to the United States.
The filing surfaced as part of an ongoing legal dispute involving male escort Clayton Howard. Cassie also noted that while she remains a U.S. citizen, she is not a resident of California.
Although the documents do not reveal her current location, Cassie reportedly argued that New York would be a more convenient venue for legal proceedings because her attorneys are based there.
The latest filing comes amid continuing fallout from multiple lawsuits connected to Sean “Diddy” Combs. Howard previously accused both Diddy and Cassie of misconduct during encounters he claims took place years ago.
In her response, Cassie included an alleged 2023 message Howard sent to her husband, Alex Fine, expressing support after she publicly accused Diddy of abuse. According to the filing, Howard said he believed her claims and praised Fine for helping her move forward.
Cassie reached a multimillion dollar settlement with Diddy in 2023 and later secured another settlement connected to a Los Angeles hotel where surveillance footage captured an assault involving the music mogul.
