Laty Wizy Shuts Down Dating Rumors With Black Shuga

Ugandan singer-songwriter Laty Wizy has shut down talk about his relationship with media personality Black Shuga, making it clear the two are not dating.

Speaking during an interview on Galaxy TV, the singer said their connection stays rooted in friendship and business, even though they spend a lot of time together.

He made it clear there is nothing romantic between them, but still spoke highly of her.

Still, he described her as a beautiful woman with a striking melanin complexion and a powerful voice, showing clear admiration.

I have always loved Black Shuga, but as a friend. She is a beautiful woman, and I admire her melanin and her voice. She is one of the artists whose vocal ability I rate highly.

Even so, the Laty Wizy did not completely shut the door.

He said he would not see any issue if their relationship ever changed.

We are not dating, but even if we did, there would be nothing wrong with that because she is a beautiful woman.

The two recently teamed up on the 2026 track “Am Okay,” a project that grew out of their real-life connection.

Black Shuga has previously said Laty Wizy supported her through a difficult period of heartbreak, leading to their collaboration.

As of now, both artistes are signed to Risky Music, where they continue to work closely as labelmates.
