Nkeletanyi Promises Change for Kanungu East, Fires Back at Munyagwa
Newly elected Member of Parliament Yusuf Nkeletanyi has set the tone for his leadership in Kanungu East, promising visible development as he prepares to take office.
Speaking to his constituents, Nkeletanyi outlined a plan focused on infrastructure, business support, education, and healthcare, making it clear that he wants residents to feel real change on the ground.
My primary focus is on ensuring that the people of Kanungu East experience tangible development. We are going to improve infrastructure, support local businesses, and invest in education and healthcare. This is a new chapter for our constituency, and I am committed to delivering on my promises.
But the new MP did not stop at development.
He also addressed recent remarks from Mubarak Munyagwa, who criticized members of the National Unity Platform (NUP) over their reaction to the death of Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro‘s wife.
The former presidential candidate accused NUP members of hypocrisy, suggesting they did not genuinely care about Mufumbiro.
Nkeletanyi pushed back strongly, dismissing the claims and linking them to political frustration.
Honourable Munyagwa is just jealous because he lost in politics. He cannot stand to see a new generation emerging that can do better than the old regimes. This is clearly the voice of a political failure.
The exchange reflects growing friction between established political figures and a younger wave of leadership, as Kanungu East looks ahead to a new phase under Nkeletanyi.
Munyagwa is only seeking relevance and trying to provoke a response from us, but we don’t have time for that. – Nkeretanyi fired back#SanyukaUnCut #SanyukaUpdates #FfeBannoDdala pic.twitter.com/M3hruhk1oS
