Without Me, There Is No Ugandan Hip Hop, Says GNL Zamba

Ugandan rap icon GNL Zamba has once again made bold claims about his influence on the country’s hip hop scene.

In a recent interview, the self-proclaimed “Big Size” artist declared, “I am the hip hop of Uganda. Without me, there is no hip hop.”

Known for his lyrical prowess and contributions to the genre, Zamba did not hold back in asserting his legacy.

“I paved the way. When you talk Ugandan hip hop, you are talking GNL,” he stated confidently.

Beyond music, the rapper emphasized his role as a “happy family man,” sharing glimpses of his personal life with fans.

“Music is my passion. But my family is my pride,” he added.

While some fans cheered his remarks, others debated whether his claims overshadowed other hip hop pioneers.

Regardless, GNL Zamba remains one of Uganda’s most influential artistes, and he is not shy about it.
