Hannah Karema Reflects on Criticism, Keeps Mum on Ministerial Role Speculation

Hannah Karema has opened up about how she handled criticism during her Makerere Guild Presidential bid.

The former Miss Uganda said she stayed focused despite the negative comments that came her way during the campaign.

While on Sanyuka TV, she explained that she chose not to take criticism personally, noting that public life comes with both praise and backlash.

I believe there is no bad PR and everyone is entitled to their opinion. I did not take the criticism to heart. However much there was bad criticism, there were also good comments.

Her bid, however, fell short.

Kadondi Gracious emerged winner of the April 9, 2026 election, becoming the 92nd Guild President of Makerere University.

Despite the loss, Hannah continues to make headlines, with reports linking her to a possible ministerial role.

When asked about the speculation, she declined to comment.

Let us not talk about that for now.

For now, she is choosing to stay quiet on what lies ahead.
