Kiromo Teenz Choice Awards Bring Young Stars Into the Spotlight
The Kiromo Teenz Choice Awards return on May 9, with Lugogo set to host a major youth gathering.
Organizers will run the event as a daytime experience and wrap it up by 6 PM. That gives students enough time to enjoy the full program without pushing into the night.
The awards focus on young talent across music, dance, film, fashion, art, and social media. Students have already started voting in their schools, and public voting opens on April 30 for 10 days.
On stage, the lineup will keep things moving. DJs, MCs, dancers, and artistes will rotate throughout the day, keeping the crowd engaged.
The event will also crown Mr. and Miss High School Uganda, alongside Miss High School Africa. Contestants from across the continent will compete for the titles.
Over time, Kiromo has grown into a platform where new talent gets noticed. Large crowds, viral moments, and breakout performances have become part of its identity.
NBS Plus, Mirinda, Sumz, Indomie, and Nextars back this year’s edition.
Tickets go for 5,000 before midday on the day and 10,000 after.
