Levixone Rejects Calls for Free Gospel Performances

Gospel artiste Levixone has weighed in on the ongoing debate about whether gospel musicians should perform without payment, making it clear that while his work is a ministry, it also operates as a profession with real financial demands.

Speaking during an interview on Sanyuka TV, Levixone pushed back against critics who believe gospel artistes should not charge because they serve God.

He explained that behind every song and performance are significant costs, including production, promotion, and overall project development.

He noted that the income he earns from music plays a key role in sustaining his career, as it allows him to fund studio sessions, shoot videos, and invest in the creative process needed to remain competitive in the industry.

At the same time, he described music as his full time job and primary source of livelihood, one that supports his personal needs and family responsibilities just like any other profession.

Beyond that, Levixone highlighted that he channels part of his earnings into charity work, which he considers an extension of his ministry and a way of supporting vulnerable communities.

Referencing scripture, he added that the Bible supports the principle of benefiting from one’s work, stressing that receiving payment does not take away from the spiritual value of serving God.

In the end, he emphasized that without financial support, it would be difficult to consistently produce quality music, create videos, and maintain standards in an increasingly competitive space.
