Naira Ali Urges Ugandans to Show Local Artistes Love Like They Showed Spice

US-based Ugandan singer Naira Ali has reacted to the massive reception Jamaican dancehall star Spice received during her recent visit to Uganda.

Spice landed in the country on May 4 ahead of her concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval and immediately received a heroic welcome from fans and artistes.

Many swarmed the dancehall star’s motorcade, while others lined up along the streets hoping to catch a glimpse of her during several appearances around Kampala.

As videos of the energetic reception continued making rounds online, Naira Ali shared a playful Facebook post praising Ugandans for warmly welcoming the Jamaican singer.

I love how y’all Ugandans, my people, welcomed Spice into our country. Great job, my people.

She then playfully reminded fans to show local artistes the same energy and love often reserved for international stars.

It is good to love and welcome foreigners, but please love your own even more. Show us more love banange. Is that too much to ask.

Spice Concert Lugogo Cricket Oval

Spice headlined the inaugural Safari Beats concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval on May 9 alongside Ugandan stars including Cindy Sanyu, Sheebah Karungi, Winnie Nwagi, Karole Kasita, and Navio.

Tanzanian star Harmonize also made a surprise appearance at the concert despite not appearing on the official event posters.
