TNS Drags Sheebah to Court in Copyright Dispute
Team No Sleep (TNS) has taken singer Sheebah Karungi to court in a fresh copyright dispute.
The long-running fallout between the two sides has now escalated, with TNS accusing Sheebah of continuing to perform songs recorded under their label without authorization.
At the center of the case are some of her biggest early hits, produced during her time under the management of Jeff Kiwa.
TNS maintains that all music recorded under the label remains its intellectual property, a position that has fueled disputes since her exit.
Sources also claim Sheebah has not made a court appearance or filed an appeal in response to the summons, allowing the case to move forward in her absence.
The case adds another layer to one of Uganda’s most talked-about artiste breakups, which has long involved disputes over music rights, branding, and performance control.
So far, neither Sheebah nor Team No Sleep has issued a fresh statement on the court proceedings.
